WHAT

Industry 5.0 is about the future of work and skills. It shows how technology can support good work, make production sustainable, and deliver value for society as well as productivity.

It matters because Industry 5.0 will reshape jobs and skills not by replacing whole occupations but by redesigning work around people and technology, with a strong emphasis on worker wellbeing, empowerment, and continuous learning.

The Industry 5.0 platform (often shortened to i5.0) is an online community and resource hub designed to help people learn about, discuss, and apply Industry 5.0 in practice – bringing together companies, workers, social partners, policymakers, researchers and students.

It’s a free-of-charge “one-stop platform” that combines: a large knowledge bank, themed “Labs”, e-learning courses, discussion forums, content sharing (blogs, resources), events, and in-platform video calls/messaging, with bespoke pathways for different user groups.
